A man and woman suspected in the stabbing of a 25- year-old man in a Newport Beach hotel are behind bars today, according to police. Adrian Ramey Hall, 25, of Norwalk, and Passhunae Nemiesha Ruff, 23, of Long Beach were both booked on suspicion of attempted murder, with their bail set at $500,000, according to Orange County jail records. The victim, whose name was not released, was stabbed at about 4 a.m. Monday morning at a local hotel. He was hospitalized, but is now expected to survive and make a full recovery. The victim met Ruff at the hotel and the two got into an argument about some money that he owed the suspect, according to Newport Beach police. When Ruff attempted to leave, the two got into a struggle as the victim tried to get his money back from her, police said. Ruff returned to the hotel with Hall and they confronted the victim, which led to the stabbing, according to the detective in charge of this case. Police recovered the knife in a trash can at a motel in Fullerton where Ruff and Hall were staying, Beckman said.
